these little guys
make an appearance every year
right around zachary’s birthday
they are a reminder for me
of how fortunate we were
to live so close to a wonderful facility
that is prepared to handle
the tiniest and sickest patients
that it took only an ambulance
not a helicopter
to get the help he needed
that we could go home
and be back in 20 minutes
if need be
so if you frequent tim horton’s
or live near one
buy a smile cookie
for zachy
and all the other children like him
who have been helped
and all those who will be
(and because they’re really yummy!!)
