in seeing others’ discussions on the colors of walls
i took inventory of my own house
i nearly have a complete rainbow:
RED
kitchen
(pictures of leaves on trees felled by last year’s “october storm”)
YELLOW
dining room
(actually 3 different colors of yellow in a wash)
GREEN
living room
(painting done by chris’s grandmother)
BLUE
the ceiling in the boys’ bedroom
PURPLE
the “music” room
(a small room off the living room)
BROWN
eating area
(between the kitchen and the family room)
BLACK
one wall in the boys’ bedroom
complete with planets, the death star,
and “glo-in-the-dark” stars
the only color missing is ORANGE
the 1/2 bath on first floor
was supposed to be painted in
*mango madness*
(as evidenced by this can of paint)
but that was too much for my hubby
so we went with wallpaper instead
(a bit more his style than mine,
but i guess he’s entitled to one room!)
(all of my hallways are “white”)
It is sooooo beautiful. AND on a great budget if I recall correctly.
yes – i think all but the kitchen were found “oops” paints…
oh yeahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh…
we determined some of our wall colors by paint that was on clearance…good enough for us!
I also like having a good assortment of colors in the house…entrance-orange, front bedroom-blue, guest bathroom-brown (looking to change that one though), Georgia’s room-green, kitchen and living room-yellow. Now I just need to paint the master bedroom, the master bath (it is currently yellow…I need something different in there) and the upstairs. But getting your brother to paint is like pulling teeth…he hates it. I guess I’ll have to tackle it myself.
